The Forum members have been sharing their long experiences on various aspects of farming and also imparting training to the farmers. We have technically qualified and vocationally skilled people to supplement and complement the agricultural development programmes being launched by the line departments of the Government. In the past we have conducted several awareness camps, interaction workshops and Farmer Training Camps on the following subjects :

• Off-season vegetable production
• Integrated nutrient management
• Water harvesting and harvested rain water management through drip/sprinkler irrigation methods
• Agro-techniques for rainfed agriculture
• Vultivation of vegetables in poly houses under protected cultivation techniques
• potentials and prospects of organic farming in the state
• Crop management practices in organic farms
• Awareness programme on insect and pest management with bioagents

The main objective of all these programmes was to enhance the capacity of the hill farmers to produce more quality food through efficient use of limited resources (land, water, labour, etc.) and earn more per unit area per unit time. Similar activities shall be the routine feature of the forum in future also.
