The state of HP is giving priority to agriculture sector and is spending 12 per cent resources on it. The state has implemented an ambitious Rs. 353 crores rupees worth Kisan Bagwan Smridhi Yojna for construction of polyhouses in 15 lakh m2 area and 20,000 ha area under small irrigation system for cultivation of vegetables and flowers. To accelerate and strengthen the scheme, the FTF envisages to lay demonstrations and trainings on protected agriculture thereby enhance the farm income of larger section of the farming community in the state.
